Nils Froemberg

Nils started playing poker in 2006, when a friend informed him that an online poker room affiliate was staking players. He tried his hand at it, not sure how interested he was in the game. After winning several hands he began to really enjoy the game. After a few months of playing Nils was making enough money in online poker rooms to quit his job.

While he enjoys almost any type of poker, he mainly plays 1/2 to 2/4 NL Holdem, and when tournament time comes around he will play almost any NL tournament up to 109.

In 2007, the ECOOP-Series on iPoker started with some huge buy ins, up to $1,000.00 for the main-event. After going through 3 different satellite tournaments Nils managed to win a seat in the main-event and eventually won $5,000.00, which was a massive boost to his bankroll at the time. He managed to do this all while studying for school, which he had to attend less than an hour after he busted. The whole event was an incredible experience for Nils.

In addition to his $5,000.00 win at the ECOOP main-event, Nils fondly remembers winning two $30 double Stack Freezeout events back to back.

Nils seems to be a natural when it comes to poker and we can only expect great things in his future.
